Combined spelling of the name of the Prophet Muhammad has topped the list of names for boys born in the UK over the last three years, but now spelling the name 'Muhammad' single has ranked highest in the capital with 768 births registered in the past year, beating Daniel with 666.
The most popular name in the UK is Harry, with 6,893 boys who have been named. However, when combined various spelling Muhammad, Muhammad (25) and Mohammad (58) are combined, the name Muhammad was beating Harry with a total of 7,032 babies.
Since 1999, the number of babies called Mohammed, has increased 50% more in the UK, the newspaper reported. (Arby / Dz)
